25 drums with a diameter from 20 to 50 cm, 6 pump-pipes, 10 tubular-bells, a 5 meter long flute, giant slam-on and several „call-in“ and „listen-to“-pipes. The Tone Tubes consists of 80 metres orange-coloured plastic pipes.

These pipes form an always changing, huge, sounding pipe-system with the help of many junctions. This labyrinth of sound sculptures satisfies not only the kids but also their fathers.

The Tone Tubes Project was started 1993 in a project „friendly city for kids” Sarsted. The project TeleTamTam with Rheinischen Industrymuseum connected Germany with the children’s museums ZOOM Vienna, Bibiana Bratislava and the Museumbienale Krasnojarsk, Siberia. Sponsoring through Mannesmann and German Telekom.
